YOUR A.I. BRAND DEFINER
PART 2 OF 2 — YOUR VOICE & STYLE
How you sound is just as important as what you say. Don’t skip the words-to-avoid section — it matters more than you think.
Your Brand Voice
Three words that DESCRIBE your tone
Three words that do NOT describe your tone
Words to Avoid — Trust-Busters (Pre-Checked as Reminders)

These words are overused, vague, and make your marketing sound like everyone else’s. Your Brand Definer GPT will avoid them automatically.

BUILD YOUR A.I. BRAND
DEFINER IN CHATGPT
7 steps to a Custom GPT that knows your voice, your audience, and what makes you different.

Your A.I. Brand Definer becomes your personal messaging coach. It knows your voice, your values, your customers — and it never uses the words on your avoid list. Use it for website copy, elevator pitches, social bios, email subject lines, and more.

1
LOG IN TO CHATGPT → EXPLORE GPTs → + CREATE → CONFIGURE

Go to chat.openai.com. In the sidebar, click Explore GPTs, then + Create. Click the Configure tab. Requires ChatGPT Plus ($20/mo).

2
NAME IT: "[YOUR BUSINESS] BRAND VOICE" OR "MY BRAND DEFINER"

Give it a name you'll reach for when writing copy. Add a description: "Writes in my brand voice for pitches, copy, social, emails, and more."

3
PASTE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS

In the Instructions field, paste this:

  • "You are my Brand Definer and messaging coach. You know exactly who I am, who I serve, what makes me different, and how I sound."
  • "When I ask for help with messaging, copy, elevator pitches, or positioning, you always stay true to my brand voice, my values, and my audience."
  • "Never use the words on my avoid list. Always write as if you know my customers personally — because you do."
4
UPLOAD THIS COMPLETED WORKSHEET AS A PDF

Under Knowledge, upload your completed Page 1. This is the source of truth for everything — your voice, your avoid list, what makes you different, who your customers are.

5
OPTIONAL: UPLOAD YOUR BEST EXISTING COPY, ABOUT PAGE, OR EMAIL NEWSLETTER

The more it reads that sounds like you, the better it learns your style. Upload your best About page, a strong sales email, a social post you loved. Even 2–3 examples help a lot.

6
SAVE → TEST: "WRITE ME A 30-SECOND ELEVATOR PITCH FOR [YOUR BUSINESS AND AUDIENCE]"

Click Save, choose Only me. Then open your GPT and ask it to write your elevator pitch. It should sound like you — not a LinkedIn post from a stranger. If it doesn't, add more examples to Knowledge.

7
USE IT FOR: WEBSITE COPY, SOCIAL BIOS, EMAIL SUBJECT LINES, SALES SCRIPTS, PROPOSALS

Every time you need to write something about your business, start here. It knows your voice and your no-go words. The more you use it, the more efficient your content creation gets.
